The Right Direction?

Pretty much everyone knows that getting into a car with a drunk driver is a bad idea.

You might not realize that driving after smoking marijuana is also a big mistake.

Just like drinking, smoking pot can have a huge effect on your reaction time.

A driver who has been smoking pot might seem ok, but his or her ability to react to a dangerous situation, like someone walking out onto the street, or a vehicle turning in front of them, might be delayed.

That split second could make all the difference…

Weed can also impair your ability to judge a situation- you might be more likely to pull out in front of a speeding car, or follow another vehicle too closely.

It can also be more difficult to pay attention after smoking a joint- throw a couple of friends into a car, turn on the music, and it’s a recipe for an accident.

Is putting your life in the hands of someone who might not be up to driving really worth it?

Alos, driving under the influence of pot is illegal. If you or your friends are caught, you’ll get hit with major consequences that could include losing your license and gaining a criminal record that could haunt you for the rest of your life.
